50 years ago Trem decided to found Trecciatura Emiliana srl (TR.EM. Srl) focusing on the production of shock cords used to cover the rear wheels of women’s bicycles. That article was very unusual but now it belongs to the history of our Company. Later shock cords have been used to lock luggage on car roofs.

However everybody knows that habits change and that technology needs to be adapted to the new times, so TR.EM. started to produce sailing rope, ski rope and safety items for boating, expanding the production range with the plastic molding (showers, hatches, navigation lights), woodworking (ladders and gangways), aluminium and stainless steel working (boat hooks, oars, liferaft frames, motor brackets).

Thanks to this entrepreneurial spirit, in these 50 years our Company has managed to export its products all over the world; I think it will not be difficult to find a boat hook made by TR.EM. when sailing on a ferry through Sydney Bay or on board a Caribbean catamaran!
